Are you tracking your menopause data?
When Bupa did a survey, they found nearly 1 million women had left the workplace due to menopause and the lack of support. That surely can only be the tip of the iceberg as many women who hand in their notice due to menopause are not disclosing it.
So, can businesses really track the impact menopause is having without true data?
A good way to find out is to circulate an anonymous survey/questionnaire. Find out how your employees really feel about the level of support your organisation provides. Do you have an open workplace culture where people can ask for support without judgement? Have your line managers and senior managers had training to deal with menopause issues with confidence? Do you support equality and the same opportunities for everyone? How do you track this?
Open communication is key, as is ensuring everyone knows how to access support when they need it.
